English Cocker puppies

Our breeding program is focused on English Cocker Spaniels with natural ability, temperament, biddability, and performance. In that order. We want a dog who is intelligent, cooperative, and is enjoyable to train. We will only breed dogs that we have trained from puppies up to a fully trained adult because it is in that process that we learn everything about that dog. To get to know a dog over the course of the training process we learn strengths and weaknesses, desirable and undesirable traits, and whether or not those dogs possess exceptional ability. We want exceptional ability and strive to breed to that standard. Once you’ve seen it and have hunted over it, it becomes the reason we breed dogs to begin with. The continuity of something special. Over the recent years we’ve imported many dogs from the top kennels in the UK and have kept a small number for ourselves that have shown exceptional talent and who meet our rigid criteria. It is these dogs we will breed to build the next generation.

Quality not quantity

We breed two to three litters per year at most. The reason we breed is to continue our line of working cockers for ourselves to develop. However, we will have dogs available to the public in almost every litter. Our females are not bred at each heat cycle. They lead fulfilling lives as working dogs who are active in hunting and shooting pursuits. To us it’s important that any expecting mother leads a happy and content life and passes that contentment on to her pups.

All of our pups are whelped in the house and will remain there for their first four weeks of life. At four weeks, the puppies are spending more time outside and are also integrated into the kennel. All of our puppies are extensively socialized to humans and dogs both young and old as well as all of the sights and sounds of life around the farm. If you are interested in a puppy from one of our breedings, do get in touch! (Edi x O’Leary litter born 2/4/24.)
